Our Circular System

The already huge global problem of plastic pollution has been compounded by the addition of pandemic pollution and single use PPE. Millions of tonnes of plastic PPE waste is currently going to landfill or incineration.

Designing for a circular system means taking responsibility for our product. We design-out the waste, think about every aspect of product and packaging – and design-in secondary purposes for the product, complete with systems and processes to achieve that goal.

What does a Circular System mean?

What does a Circular System mean?

A circular system is an economy based on keeping products and materials in use, avoiding waste and pollution and ensuring the regeneration of natural systems.

Our use of materials and how we design products directly impacts the environment. By shifting to a circular way of thinking, creating products that can be used and reused and recycled, we can ensure we limit our waste footprint.

How does this differ to the Status Quo?

The current system of Take-Make-Waste is not sustainable, for people, business and the environment. These dated production methodologies are hurting our world and the linear economy needs to change.

At ModlaPPE we are leading the charge in the creation and use of sustainable materials for PPE production, helping change the model to a circular economy.
